Verify who you are dealing with, ownership and authority to sell or lease. Ask for current photographs, documents and specific answers rather than relying only on price.
Meet the horse, discuss behaviour and suitability, and arrange independent veterinary inspection when appropriate. Record what is being transferred and the payment or lease terms in writing.
Payments and suspicious messages
Do not disclose login codes, passwords or card details in listing conversations. Horzen does not send links to “collect” a buyer's payment and does not hold transaction funds in this version.
Keep evidence of suspicious listings or messages and report them. If you suspect financial fraud, contact your bank and the police promptly.
